MTV's Siesta Key bombshell, Juliette Porter, grew up in the gorgeous city of Sarasota, Florida, enjoying the incredible beaches while consistently in a bikini. Juliette was always looking for fashionable bathing suits that could keep up with her active lifestyle and she dreamed of being in the fashion industry. While filming the show, Juliette was introduced to Jaymi Washburn, a veteran swimwear designer & swimwear factory owner.  It was instant magic and the team got to work on creating a line that was not only sexy & modern, but would also be made to go from the waterskis, to the boat, and to the bar. They developed their designs together with each woman's interpretation of what would make a perfect swim line. Juliette's keen eye for trend, comfort and luxury was perfectly matched with Jaymi's ability to design a line that would appeal to many different women and provide a great fit & incredible detailing.

The JMP the Label women's line is made on the beautiful island of Bali at Trend Studio Bali. The boutique factory is female owned and 95% of the management is female led. Trend Studio Bali's mission is to elevate women everywhere in the world and offer opportunities to women that have long been held by men. The factory implements eco-friendly practices, like the fabric upcycling program. This is done by organizing the collection of fabric scraps to be used by local villagers to make other items, like bags & dolls, that they can sell to support the local villages of Bali. Trend Studio Bali also is committed to providing safe, respectful and fair working conditions for all of the employees. They pay fair wages, provide pensions, health care and continuing education for all of their employees. Employees of the factory are expected to work the standard 8 hour work day and provide overtime pay and meal allowances, following the strict labor practices that are put forth in the United States as a guideline.

JMP the Label has developed packaging that is reusable and should not be thrown out, avoiding the issues of landfills. Our wet bag is meant to give you a cute place to put your wet swimwear, but can also be used to hold your keys, phone, credit card, or lipgloss on a day to the beach or pool. We ship our goods to you in a compostable mailer. Our compostable packaging is created from a combination of PBAT, a bio based polymer which is compostable, and PLA which is made up of plant materials such as regular field corn and wheat straw. The use of PLA makes up barely 0.05% of the annual global corn crop, making it an incredibly low-impact resource. The compostable mailer composts in 6 months (180 days) and is certified for both home and commercial compost.

We use both up-cycled and recycled materials when creating our pieces. Our up-cycled fabrics are taken from dead stock, which is unused fabric from other companies. By using dead stock we are reducing textile waste and reducing our carbon footprint that would have been expended in the production of new materials. Our recycled fabrics are created using a blend of majority recycled nylon fibers. These textiles are only created when dead stock does not meet the companies needs for order quantity or quality.

It is JMP the Label's commitment to look for new and innovative ways to help our world and environment, consistently educating ourselves on the emerging science that will help us understand the changing methods of protecting our earth from the destruction of pollution.
